Show only Month and Year in only one jQuery UI DatePicker in case of Multiple DatePicker

In one of my previous post, I had posted about Show only Month and Year in jQuery UI DatePicker, but there was an issue with the code explained in that particular post. The issue was that it was applicable for all the datepickers present on the page and it is quite possible to have such behavior for one datepicker and rest of the datepickers control should work their default functionality.

How to do it?

To implement this, follow below steps only for that control for which you want to show Month and Year appear as Dropdown.

• Set changeMonth and changeYear to true.


• Set date format to "MM yy".


• jQuery DatePicker has "onClose" event, which is called when Datepicker gets closed. So using this event, fetch the selected Month and Year and setDate of Datepicker.


• jQuery DatePicker also has "beforeShow" event, which is called before the datepicker is displayed. So this event will be used to Show the previously selected Month and Year as selected. If you don't use this event, then datepicker will always show the current month and current year, irrespective of your previous selection.


• Now, here is tricky part. Use focus() and blur() event of the textbox control to hide default behavior of the datepicker. And in focus() event, set the position of "ui-datepicker-div" which is created by datepicker control itself and this holds UI for having month and year dropdown.

Tutorial: Install Adode Flash Player on Android 4.1 Jelly Bean

The first thing to do is download the latest version of Flash Player and Dolphin Browser:

• Download Flash Player 11.1.115.54 (APK)
• Download Dolphin Browser HD 8.5.1 (APK) (supports Flash)

One may say, why not Chrome Dolphin and such? Simple: because Chrome does not have Flash support.

2 - After downloading both files, you must copy them to the SD card of your Android smartphone or tablet either.

The arrival of Home has created major changes and improvements in other Facebook applications. I had joined the Chat Heads to Messenger and the stickers were released on the iOS version. These stickers have yet officially to the Android app but today it has released an interesting trick to activate.

Apparently, this option came along with the latest update to Messenger but had remained hidden until now. To enable the stickers just follow these simple steps.

1 - Enable the Chat Heads  (currently only works in pop but not in the normal chat window). For this go to  Settings -> Notifications -> Enable chat bubbles

2 - Then, click on the white area to the left of the "+" in the lower left as shown in the image below.

3 - There you will have the option to select the sticker you want.

NOTE : some users have had trouble loading the stickers. If that happens, you have to force quit the application and reopen it and should be solved.

Install the Samsung Galaxy S4 Launcher

1 - The first thing to do is download the appropriate file with the screen resolution of your device and wallpapers.

Once recovery is recommended to backup the system (to get back to it in case something goes wrong), and then do the wipe cache partition and wipe dalvik cache .

4 - Then go to Install zip from sdcard -> Choose zip from sdcard and select the file you downloaded in step
1. Press Start to begin the process.

5 - Once the installation is complete, click on Reboot system now to restart the device and go! I'll be enjoying the launcher of Galaxy S4 on your smartphone! You can also install the wallpapers.

Samsung provides insurance against accidents for the Galaxy S4

Samsung wants to promote its products in emerging markets and this has extended the warranty of the Galaxy S4 24 months accidental damage in some African markets without any kind of additional cost.

This new warranty applies to 15 African countries but have some limitations as they only cover the device suffer damage due to liquid spills and broken screens. In all other cases, users must pay for the repair of the phone as they normally would.

To obtain this warranty, users must register for the e-warranty service on local Samsung official site.
Customers of the following 15 African countries will have this extra service with some limitations: South Africa, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, Senegal, Sudan, Tanzania, Ethiopia, Namibia, Zambia, Mauritius, Uganda, Costa Ivorie, Angola, Botswana, and Mozambique.

George Ferreira, vice president and chief operating officer of Samsung Electronics Africa said:

"This warranty is another way in which Samsung is showing its commitment to customer service by introducing the Galaxy Series S4 and extended to other Samsung devices in the coming months."
