Lava puts it’s own creation to the test against the likes of Micromax, Karbonn and Xolo. Lava Iris 504Q is the name of that new budget Quad-core. Lava has impressed us before with it’s design and software, this time is no exception.
Lava Iris 504Q
The device greets us with it’s good looking 5 inch (1280 x 720 pixels) display. The hardware is powered by a Media Tek MT6589 quadcore processor clocked at 1.2 GHz. It is also gifted with a satisfactory 1 GB of RAM. It has an 8 MP primary camera with LED flash for taking good snaps coupled with a VGA front facing camera. For those who like to expand their network prowess, there is a provision for Dual SIM. Connectivity options include WiFi, Bluetooth 4.0 and USB OTG support. A 2000 mAh battery for the 5 inch display is simply not enough, just might get you through the day.
The device runs stock Android 4.1.2 with no customizations . Lava did integrate some cool gesture controls, one being waving your hand over the sensor in the gallery, which looks to be inspired by the Galaxy S4. The phone comes pre-loaded with Gameloft’s Modern Combat 2 and Fusion Music player, to stream and download music. The box has an included extra back panel, which also works as a flip cover.
